Welcome to my Blog!
Hi! My name is Brooke Meadows and I am a third year psychology major at USF. Originally, I am from Ocala, Florida, about an hour and a half north of Tampa. I thoroughly enjoy nature and doing any activity outside. I take any opportunity that I can to travel, and I particularly enjoy traveling on my own. Additionally, I have a great appreciation for higher education, so much so that USF is my fourth higher level education institution that I have attended. I also enjoy giving back to the community by working in education as a teacher's assistant, as well as volunteering my time to my church to assist with kid's camps. Previously, I worked in the fine dining industry but found that my passion was helping kids rather than serving in a retirement community. My favorite social media platform would have to be Snapchat. It is my most used social media platform due to the fact that this is how a majority of the people in my generation communicate with one another. This is also the app that I take the majority of my pictures on, therefore, most of my memories are associated with Snapchat. This is not my first blog; in my freshman or sophomore year of high school, one of my classes also had an assignment that was centered around creating a blog. I have not posted to the blog since completing that class, but I do think it was a useful assignment for my general knowledge about blogs and computers, and may assist me in this class. I do not have much experience with blogs in general, as far as reading the ones that are available on the internet. I think this is largely due to how niche social media content is becoming, which makes having relatable content accessible to me through my social media so I do not have to go searching for a blog to find this content. I do not have any strong likes or dislikes about using blogs due to my lack of experience. My goal is to be more educated on blogs as well as their fucntions by the end of the semester. 😊
I'm happy to have you in class this semester Brooke! Glad you've had some blogging experience but that should have given you enough experience to know some likes and dislikes.
